Creft
This is creft. A fast-paced crafting platformer.
Collect the colored dots to receive speed boosts, health or slow down you or the camera.
But now all is fun, they can also combine to deadly combinations which will crack your egg.
Quick instructions
You can move with WASD, the arrows and the space button.
The goal is to get to the end of the level after which you can enter your score for the scoreboard. The brown bar will fill up to show your progress.
The dots can be picked up (or avoided) to create powerups. The recepis can be seen at the top of the screen. The order of you picking up the dots has no effect (red and then green does the same as green and then red).
The camera with the two arrows is for the speed of the camera, by picking up Green-Green you slow down the camera.

How this game was made
This game was made by one person, me! It's my first finished gamejam game (I contested one time earlier, but failed). I used the egg as a health meter and the D.I.Y. wildcard to add one of the main mechanics.
Known bugs
My friends and I have been playtesting this game a lot and found a few glitches which may appear.
- All dots are the same color
A weird thing that happens every so often. To solve it please refresh the page, it should go away.
- I believe I can fly
By abusing the godot physics engine and the round collision shape of the egg, you can fly.

Nice idea! You managed to make this crafting mechanism very simple and yet interesting (and potential for more recipes). I have the same comments as the others though : the randomness takes a bit of the fun away

haha, it is pretty fun. some minor suggestions,
1. I hope the combination can be put in the help so I can check it and try to remember the combination I want before playing.
2. the game relies on randomness too much I guess, if you can't get a good sequence of dots, it might be too hard to finish the level(or I'm just not good at it)
3. Did the combination list missed some color? I feel I got a combination like blue green and get healed, but I don't see that in the combination list.
4. After getting speed up, the movement is insanely hard lol. It's like moving on ice.
All in all, I like the concept of it and good job!

1 Good idea, I am not sure if I'm allowed to do that after I submitted the game.
2 Yea, that's true, but I thought it would be a little bit stale if I would pick the colors myself.
3 if you first pick up Green and then Blue, it means the same as first picking Blue and then green.
4 yea, But that combination is pretty rare, so I wanted it to really count
Finding the right combinations and avoiding the wrong ones is really fun. That being said, I feel the game would benefit greatly from more verticality and diversity. The diversity thing is probably just because of the jam time restraint, though.

I completely agree about the diversity thing. The time restraint is of course a reason but it's also because I'm pretty new to Godot and couldn't find a way to draw with bitmap items with script.
